Dr. Moriconi practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. Dr. Moriconi offers a variety of anesthesia options. He holds a license, issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to administer anesthesia in the office. In addition to IV sedation, Dr. Moriconi offers patients the options of Nitrous Oxide or local anesthetics delivered via the Computer-Controlled Local Anesthetic Delivery (C-CLAD™) system, known as The Wand® (and later re-branded as CompuDent®). The CompuDent instrument virtually eliminates the pain associated with single tooth, palatal, mandibular block and all other injections, resulting in a more comfortable injection experience for the patient. At the time of consultation, Dr. Moriconi discusses anesthesia options and helps patients determine which option best suits their needs.
Dr. Moriconi’s staff is trained in assisting with IV Sedation and anesthesia within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. The surgical staff are experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, and all are CPR certified. The staff are informed administrative personnel, well versed in health and insurance policies.
